How do I Link an Alto Black SUB15 to another powered sub, and a powered full range top speaker?

Just purchased a pair of Alto Black SUB15's. I want to know if I can use the I/O on the Subs to link to a 2nd powered sub), AND a powered full range top speaker?

Wondering if both outputs on the Black SUB15 pass the same input signal if only one input is being used? Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thanks for posting. Yes, the link outputs on the back of the Sub can be used for connecting your Sub 15 to another powered sub. The outputs will be used to connect your tops. Please refer to the connection diagram below for more information:

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Hi Bill & thanks for your reply. I understand the wiring diagram you posted, but what I'm asking is, can I plug into a single Alto Black Sub 15 directly from ONLY my left mixer out, say into input channel 1 on the back of the sub15. THEN plug the channel 1 out into another powered sub AND the channel 2 out into a top speaker? Without anything going into inpiut channel 2 on the sub?

I want to know if I can run only one input, and TWO outs from a single sub. Such that one of the two outs goes to a full range top, and the other goes to another powered sub. I want to be able to do this on both sides.

In other words, if there's only one input signal going into the sub (on channel 1), will this signal be sent to BOTH outs on the sub (Channels 1 AND 2), or will that signal only be sent from the same channel (just output from channel 1)?

I want to do this x2. Left main output int the left sub (ch 1), then out from that sub to another powered sub (out ch 1) AND then using output ch 2 from the same 1st sub that linked to the 2nd sub) a full range top. THEN, right output into the right sub, and out from that into another powered sun AND another full range top.

Your diagrams show BOTH inputs used on the sub, along with both outputs. I want to use ONE INPUT on the sub, but BOTH OUTPUTS. Can this be done with the Black sub15? I know it can be done with the TSSUB15, but the Black SUB15 has only 2 ins and 2 outs, without any designated linking outputs.

I'm asking because there's nothing in the documentation that addresses this. Can a black sub 15 have 1 in AND send signal to both output channels? Or does the 2nd channel still need it's own input? I guess this question would be clearer if I drew a pic, but hopefully I've thoroughly over explained this by now - LOL. Thanks!
