Intermittent control room out problem with ZMX122 mixer

I have an intermittent problem with my ZMX122 mixer that I hope someone can shed some light on. The issue is that on occasion no sound output comes from the control room out sockets. When gigging with this mixer I prefer to use the control room outs so that I hear the complete mix (guitar, vocals and backing tracks) vs the monitor out (personal mix ) ie get to hear on stage same as FOH . I'm not sure why the control room outs sometimes don't work! I have the smaller version of this mixer in my home studio and have not to date had this issue. I'm wondering if I've overlooked something obvious ? I've checked the leads and all is well...e.g. by simply swapping the left mono control room out to the monitor/aux out socket. I only use one on stage monitor so only use left control room out jack socket. Any help appreciated...thanks folks
