Hi, when I have a lot of ambient noise, can it be generated by the preamplifier? Or by some cable? ... when I gain the gain I realize that the sound of the environment is added and in the recordings is annoying, and complicated to remove it later !! Thank you very much for the help!!

    Hi Esteban,

Thanks for posting. Next time, please use Google Translate to translate your post before posting.

Can you please provide me with some more information about your setup, including everything you have connected to your ZMX862?

Make sure your signal is properly grounded. Your mixer should be connected to a grounded surge protector. Additionally, it's important to keep in mind that your surge protector should not be overloaded.

Have you tried using another power cable to rule out a bad power cable or different cables with your microphones or instruments?

  • Ok, I will translate from Spanish to English.
I do not think it says in the manual about using a stabilizer or surge protector. Thanks for the info.
Setup: When recording, connect the RCA outputs to the microphone input of the pc with its respective cable. Then I plug the microphones and instruments into the mixer.
The transformer plugs it into a power outlet with universal input, so I do not need an adapter. But also, it does not have the third leg of discharge to earth that can be harmful, which I do not know concretely. When using the protector I will have to put an adapter to the transformer to connect it to it.
Also, I will test the cables, especially the RCA cable to MINIPLUG by one of higher quality to clear the doubts.
Thank you bill, I'm happy with the mixer and I would like to solve this to enjoy the small studio I set up at home.

  • You're right: the manual does not say anything about connecting your mixer to a surge protector. However, this is something that is recommended to ensure your system and setup are properly grounded and shielded from interference.

Let me know how this goes.
