TS112A no line volume, is it input module?

Hi, I have a TS112A that was my floor monitor for many gigs several years ago. Recently I tried hooking it up to a Behringer X1222 mixer using a mic but noticed the volume line in on the 112 did not respond until it passed into the mic segment. Lots of hum. I know the main out on the mixer is supposed to be line level. Mic direct into the 112 seems to work fine with adequate power. My question: Is this a symptom of a faulty input module on the 112? Reason I ask is the input modules are still available from Full Compass and I have the experience to change out the board, if that will solve the problem. A question remains with the mixer but it’s relatively new. I don’t have any equipment to A/B right now.
Thanks Bill

  • Hi Ray,

    Thanks for posting.

If the speaker isn't responding until reaching mic level, then yes, this sounds like a potential hardware fault.
