Open "Thank You for Order" page to HTML widgets

I want to add social share widgets to the "Thank you for your order" page, but this page is locked down as a part of the checkout process. It does not accept any links, even, let alone a bit of javascript.

Open this page to HTML widgets! It would be very helpful to selling.

  • Hi Marc,

Amazon Webstore support should be able to move the 'Thank you Page' from HTTPS to HTTP for you, which would allow customization.

Please open a case with such a request.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Marc,

Your site is already set up for this ability. That is why you are seeing both the Thank You page and the Order Confirmation page as we discussed in your previous post. Just ignore the Confirmation page, it is not being used, and add your code to the Thank You page. NOTE: you must be on the correct server for this to work. Please see your previous post for instructions on that process if needed.

I will definitely be making the suggestion to our developers that we offer more automated ways of integrating with the social media sites. However, since we do not own those sites they can change their code at any time and designing long term sustainable widgets is almost impossible.

With that said, there are quite a few sites out there that can help you do this yourself, just maybe not exactly what you are trying to accomplish here. You can also leverage the tools found on the individual Social sites if needed. However, that may take training we simply can't offer to all our sellers.

I would urge you to do some research into those pre-built options and definitely review my suggestion about using the tools found at the www.addthis.com site at the product level.
