Could Smart SI read CO2?

I have three thermostats, two smart si and one smart. Once I posted one question that I could not query co2 data from the thermostate. I think I find the problem that smart si doesn't read co2 sensor, because every time I send request for includeSensors to smart si, I could not get it.

If we connect smart si and smart to communicator and two outside sensor, humidity and co2 sensor, only smart can read co2 sensor. Is it right?

    Hi Shuo,

The SmartSi does not support remote sensors of any type. Only the SMART thermostat does. When you say "If we connect smart si and smart to communicator" it sounds like you have wired both the SmartSi and SMART thermostats to the same Equipment Interface module, which is incorrect. The SmartSi wires directly to HVAC equipment and not to an Equipment Interface. It sounds like you may have your installation wiring done incorrectly and I would advise you contacting with the ecobee customer support to set up the correct wiring for your equipment.

  • Hi Hesham,

Thank you so much. That is why I could not get co2 data all the time. Now I understand the Smart Si need to wire directly to HVAC equipment. We will fix it quickly. And I got the json data includes co2 and humidity. It works!

    Cheers
