How to authenticate user with two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled?

We use code-based authentication in our app. This works fine for accounts that do not have 2FA enabled. However, if 2FA gets enabled for an account, then it fails with the following error:

"invalid_client: Authentication error, invalid authentication method, lack of credentials, etc. STATUS CODE: 401. API RESPONSE: ."

    Hi,
For questions related to the ecobee Developer API or your developer account, please visit the ecobee Developer API Support Portal: https://developer.ecobee.com/support

Use your company email to sign up for a new account if you don't already have one.

After logging in, you will be able to view your support tickets, share your tickets with the rest of your organization, and track your entire ecobee API support history.

As your question does not contain sensitive account information, and if you would like to connect with other ecobee API developers, we encourage posting and answering questions on StackOverflow with the ecobee-api tag: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/t...

    Scott.
