Changed reply in topic of create local database sqllite and store value from api to it for ofline access by Bruce Stuart to You just need to put your DB sequel batch command in the success event of the create database command that will eliminate any extended wait... Please try that before giving up on an Appery iOS solution.

    Changed reply in topic of create local database sqllite and store value from api to it for ofline access by Bruce Stuart to The issue likely is... You have to wait until your database has been created before issuing the SQL batch command... So each of the commands has a function that can be executed upon success... You either need to put your SQL batch command in the function that executes upon successful creation or... You’ll have to use a SQL time out and set it to around 2000 ms before you issue the sequel batch command...

All of the database functions run on what’s called a promise like functionality... So you cannot issue rapid commands, one right after another, in a JavaScript asset... You need to issue commands that are to be called “in order’ In the success event of the calling or initial activity... Please review the documentation in the SQL light plug-in... And read up on what a promise is in JavaScript

Best, Bruce’

.

    Changed reply in topic of Platform Maintenance on October 29 by Bruce Stuart to Gentlemen ,

Respectfully I thank you for the update.

I will however add that in terms of substantive addition of features the list is honestly missing any real substantive changes, and the issues for IOS 11 are more than what you e listed as I’ve alluded to in a separate post.

Since the IOS11 issues are important for no other reason than (a) reputationally (b)they will be required when Apple refuses no longer allow xCode 8 built Software on the App Store ... it’s challenging to understand from a users perspective given the majority share the Apple store seems to have with business users ... what the real plan is here for the platform given the lack of a roadmap for the product and any definition on IOS11 here.

Please correct me ...as like many users have ... I have a tremendous amount at risk here and am very much tied into this platform.

Bruce.

    Changed reply in topic of Return Number Value from Input using the Where query by Bruce Stuart to On second thought you should change the function to look something like this... As the call to Number won’t evaluate...

return fdebug( value ) ;
Then in a separate JavaScript asset:

function fdebug( value ){

var nReturn = Number( value );

console.log( nReturn ) // breakpoint

return { ‘zip’ : nReturn ) ;

}

Bruce.
