Calling a Scope Function from HTML Code

I'm using the google maps component in my ionic app and am using the Windows Directive. In the windows directive theres a property called HTML where custom code can be used in the windows that are displayed when a marker pin is clicked on in the map. I want to have an html button in the window that, when clicked on, calls a function in the page's scope.

Issue Resolved

The name of the function in the scope is resolveIssue() and it contains console.log("test") but when I click on the button I don't get any console messages. For some reason the function isnt being run even though when I check the binding I see this:
