If he has an iTunes account, he will need to remove your credit card number from his account. Has he done that already?

There are a number of support options available to you directly from Apple located at:

Specifically this page at Apple's support site says, "To delete your credit card number from iTunes, click this link to launch iTunes and we'll take you to the Account Information page. Then, click “Edit Payment Information”. Finally, click None in credit card type."

If it is your child's iTunes account which has your credit card associated with it you will need to enter their Apple ID and password when prompted. If you are not prompted for your user name and password try clicking the email address in the upper right hand corner of iTunes (just below the "Search iTunes Store" field). iTunes should then prompt you to enter your ID and password.

Are you serious , to you people who complain about the itunes store and getting the CC charged , why in the world would you trust your children to first off have your CC , secondly believe a child would tell the truth if they downloaded hundreds of dollar's of stuff and admit it to pissed off parents , the email support locked at apple.com/support/itunes is so easy to use a drunk monkey on vicoden could figure it out , please tell me your smarter then that .

Hey Armyman, you must not have kids. We naturally trust them until they begin to do things wrong. Then we suspect.
Yes, you are correct, they would not admit if confronted with hundreds of downloads.
My issue is Apple does not seem too unhappy about this, or too willing to help parents to stop it from happening. When you go on iTunes to try to control your kids accounts it is like they have figured out a way to waste so much of your time searching for stuff that you can't do that you finally give up!

So I ended up just closing the account.

That was the only solution. My daughter will be freaking out soon. It will be fun to watch!

Apple has done quite a few things that will come back to bite them in a big way.

Well Bill

You see i Do have 3 kids actually and I have given one of them an Ipod and instead of giving them access to my CC I bought them an itunes store giftcard .

Hey Armyman, I will give it to you that you are smarter than I am to not give them access to cc info! I have definitely put a stop to that.

Apple did almost go down once. I believe it was the 1990s. Steve Jobs' genius was the only thing that saved them. But like so many companies that have disappeared over the years, if they ignore the customer, they too will be in the company graveyard soon.

Arrogance never wins friends.

Don't use a credit card... Go purchase gift cards!!!!! I have never put a card # into my itunes account, only gift card #'s.... And if my daughter would not give me her password, I would take the whole damn phone, ipod, ipad, computer or whatever away from her until I got every password that I needed :)

Dear apple victims I did not give my info to a child and and I was scammed out of money on itunes. I did not order anything yet I was billed. There was no one to talk to when you call the # so I bit the charges but I am thinking about going to my bank and letting them know how this service operates and maybe I can get them to refund the money if they cannot talk to anyone at apple, but I did find the none option and edited my info. Thankful to all that posted the how to edit info it was very helpful

In order to change your subscriptions, on an iOS device, go to settings, store ( now called "iTunes and App Stores), and click on your Apple ID. You'll get an option to view account. Enter the password, and you'll find a listing for subscriptions, with a "manage" button there. Tap that, and edit any subscriptions you find there that you don't want.

Another option is under the General settings, Restrictions. If you enable restrictions and turn off buying or deleting apps, the store icon will go away. The strict ions pass code is not the same as the screen lock or Apple ID pass code, so the user (child) can still access the device, but the restrictions prevent unauthorized (parent controlled) activities.

Hope this helps.

IMPORTANT READ TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK

My children bought loads of apps without my knowledge and I got my money back.

Here is what you need to do:

- go to apple site and contact us (phone or chat)
- explain to them how your children have been buying without your knowledge.
- they will ask you for all dates and amounts so be sure you have this info
- they will confirm the total amount going back to your. account

They will refund the first time it happens only and they suggest turning on restrictions. Turn off in-app purchases. You also need to remove your card details. If it's your child account, tell apple and they maybe able to access it after validation.
