Allow SMS messages to only include email subject

Would like SMS messages to contain email subject only. Sending the entire message results in multiple texts, and a rather noisy phone.

We hope to offer some flexibility in terms of how many messages are sent per medium in the future. It's so tough to get the right balance between allowing customization and not having too much to customize. Really appreciate the suggestion though; please know it's on our minds!

Definitely agree with this one!

My main filter alerts me of support tickets being created, and the second SMS I receive doesn't contain unique information, just "Reply above this line".

I agree. Would like an option to truncate. Just need a short preview of the email with (maybe) a link to AwayFind so I can view the whole message without going into my email acct.

I support this idea wholeheartedly!

When someone sends me a long email I get, say, 3 text messages in a row, and that's more than I need. It's not convenient to read an entire email message via a string of texts.

It'd be great to get a text with the sender's name, email subject, and maybe the first couple dozen characters of the email body. That would give me plenty to decide whether I need to get to my computer to act on the email.

Thanks for considering my feedback, and rock on, AwayFind!

same for me here! I use AwayFind also to keep track of forum's private messages, so the message is always the same. In some other cases, the important part of text is after some predefined/automated text that doesn't give me information, so I can't see the real message in 2 SMS AF sends me.

This should be in AwayFind very very very soon. Like hopefully in the next week, but we'll see : ). A LOT of things went into this change and this coming release. Stay tuned!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like we have this now! At first I thought my provider skipped out on the 2nd message.

Thank you!

Was this fixed? Any action required on my part?

I get Wufoo form submissions sent to me via SMS via AF, and I'm not sure if it's AF or Wufoo, but their is no usable information in the text. Just a bunch of email header info and the like.

Also, FWIW, no second message followed the above.

Hi Nicholas,

Well, the subject is making it through okay. But yes, the HTML isn't being processed properly, nor is the message count for delivery. Could you email support@awayfind.com so we can look at your account specifically? We just need to know your email address or username for AwayFind.

Thanks!

Jared - This is still happening, BTW. I emailed you the above info.
