AwayFind email account disabled

  • Problem
  • Updated 4 years ago
I received an email notification with this topic, making a vague reference to a server error of "[ALERT] Account exceeded command or bandwidth limits. (Failure)".

I was directed to check my account setup in AwayFind, however there are no options presented to change password or otherwise edit my account. All I can do is pause and re-enable, which then tells me the account still doesn't work.

If I try to add another account with the same Google Apps account, I'm not allowed to. So, I'm stuck.

Please advise.

Hi Shawn,

That error came from your server so we can't help too much with the vagueness... no need to re-enable your account though. We'll be in touch shortly.

Best,
Jared

Hello Shawn,

This seems to be a google/gmail issue.
Here's an article from the Google Knowledge Base which might help you: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/an...

That is somewhat helpful, but again, the primary issue is with the AwayFind UI. It provides me no way to edit or delete an email account.

Hello Shawn,

Can you please send your AwayFind username and registered email to support@awayfind.com ?

That will help us give you more detailed instructions on editing/deleting your account.

Hello Shawn,

The reason you cannot edit/delete your email account in AwayFind is that you signed up through Google Marketplace.
Therefore, your AwayFind account is associated with your marketplace account.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I unlocked the Captcha, as noted above, and my account is still showing as "Does NOT work!" in your UI.

If the objective, as I assume it is, is to convert me to a paying customer, I first need the service to work, and you'll also need to enable me to change plans, an issue I've raised before.
