Carrier won't deliver paper

My carrier has not delivered my paper 4 of the last 5 days. Nor has the back-up carrier who is to bring the replacement paper. I have called numerous times each day to speak with a supervisor and get the same speech about checking into it and calling the route manager. Obviously, none of this is doing any good. I have been a subscriber since 1963 and am about to cancel if this is not corrected immediately. This is not a new carrier so I cannot imagine what the problem may be. I am not interested in online as a substitute.
