Exporting Saved Pictures to Another Computer

I have tons of personal pictures that I have added to my symbol finder tool on my primary work computer. Is there a way to export these saved images to another computer?

  • If you have a windows XP computer you go to C:ProgramFiles/BoardmakerwithSDPro/SymbolFolder and copy your My Symbols Folder to a usb drive to save your custom symbols..

Then on the other PC, you can copy them back to here C:ProgramFiles/BoardmakerwithSDPro/SymbolFolder

  • Hi Anne,

Below are the instructions for importing pictures into your Symbol Finder. Thanks and have a great day!

To add digital pictures to the Symbol Finder, follow these steps:

    1.
In Design mode, with the Symbol Finder visible on the screen, select File from the title bar
    *
Note: The File menu is active, even though it appears to be greyed out in the title bar.
    2.
    Select Import.
    3.
    Select Picture.
    4.
Select the Look in pull-down menu and navigate to select the folder that contains your digital picture file, photo or clip art. You can import any files with the following file extensions: .jpg, .gif, .png .wmf, .emf, or .bmp.
    5.
    Select Open at the bottom.
    6.
The imported photo will appear in a dialog box so it can be named and categorized. For more information on naming and categorizing a symbol .

    I’m happy
I saw this in our Help file:
You may delete only those symbols or pictures you have added to the Symbol Finder. Custom symbols and pictures are saved in the Mine.pc2 library, which is saved in the My Symbols folder. You cannot delete any symbol that is part of the standard PCS included with Boardmaker or is not in a library saved in the My
    Symbols folder.
To delete the currently displayed symbol or picture, click in the symbol preview window and press Ctrl + X or choose Edit > Cut.

    Worked for me! :)
