Go Talk 20+ template printing issue

I am borrowing a Go Talk 20+ for a student and want to try out different overlays. I have found some already made in the Boardmaker community and have tried the template to create my own, but each time I go to print, the dimensions do not line up in the actual Go Talk. Any tips?

  • Hi Dina,

The first thing will be to make sure you are not using Google Chrome as your browser. Chrome has known issues with printing documents the correct size. Firefox works best for device overlays in BMO. If that doesn't help try the following steps.

    1. Create your device overlay and save it. Close the Online Editor.
    2. Go to MyActivities and find the device overlay you created. Select the Print icon.
    3. Select "Actual" for print size.
    4. Choose the "Properties" button next to the name of your printer.
    5. Set the paper size to match the template. Most printers in the US are set to print on Letter sized paper, so in this example of a GoTalk 32 template, I have to change the page size to Legal.
    6. Select the Layout tab and set the paper Orientation to match the template.
    7. Select OK.

  • Hi. I've used senteacher.org and used 'printables', 'communication', 'quick AAC cards' and adjusted the size to 35 per page. I've found that they fit perfectly if you just input 5 rows of pictures.
