  • Melissa,

Here are the steps to import boardmaker version 6 boards into a Maestro

    1. Select File.
    2. Select Export.
    3. Select Individual Boards to a DynaVox Package.
    * Note: If this option is greyed out on your V/VMax you need to run the 6.1.1.1 update which can be found at www.mayerjohnson.com. You can do this by connecting your device to the internet or bringing the update file via a USB flash drive. If the software is already updated, you can choose the option Individual Boards to a Package and it will work as well.
    4. Select Select Boards to Convert.
    5. Select the boards you want to export.
    6. Select Open.
    7. Select Next.
    8. If you want to add any boards that are linked to the boards you just selected, choose Add Associated Boards. Otherwise, jump to step 13.
    9. Select Next.
    10. Select Change Package Name if you want to change the name of the package to something other than SDP-Boards.pak. Otherwise, jump to step 11.
    Select Save.
    12. Select Next.
    13. Select Convert Boards.
    14. Select Finish.

    On the Series 5 software:

    1. Open the Series 5 software.
    2. Select the Main Menu button in the toolbar.
    3. Select Setup.
    4. Select Tools Menu.
    5. Select Page Browser.
    6. In the left viewport, choose the folder you want to bring the boards into.
    7. Select Sharing Operations.
    8. Select Import from BM Plus or SDPro Boards.
    9. In the right viewport, choose the package (.pak) file you created in Boardmaker.
    10. Select OK.
    11. Select OK.

You should now see the boards you exported in the right view port of Page Browser.

  • Dan,

Thanks for the instructions. When I go thru the steps I do not have any boards showing in the right viewport. How do I get them from my laptop on to the Maestro? Do I put them on a thumb drive?

    Thanks,
    Melissa

  • That is correct, you will save the boards to a thumb drive...
