  • The files you upload to the BoardmakerShare website will be available on your My Activties page for you to access from any computer with an Internet connection, and, if you wish, you can share your files with all members of BoardmakerShare.com, or just those that belong to the same group.

    1. Click the big red Share Your Activities button in the right-hand column of most pages. The Share a Board or Activity screen will open.

    2. Click the Browse button. An Upload File dialog will open.

    3. Click Browse in the dialog, and navigate to and select the file you want to upload. You can upload any of the following types of files:

      • .bm2 – This is a single board created with any of the Boardmaker software products. Use this for uploading print activities that are on a single board.

      • .zip – This is a set of files combined into a single file. Use this for uploading a set of related print boards or all the boards and multimedia files for an on-screen activity.

      • .zbp – This is a package of boards and other files created with v6 of one of the Boardmaker products. Use this for uploading a set of related print boards or all the boards and multimedia files for an on-screen activity.

      • Click the Upload button on the Upload File dialog. You will see a progress bar while your file uploads, then you will be returned to the Upload File screen and a message will appear stating that your file has been uploaded successfully.

      • Type in the Title of the activity and enter a short Description. Choose which language the activity uses. If the file has been designed for use by someone that requires scanning, select the Designed for Scanning check box Then choose all the grade levels for which this file may be appropriate.

      • Check the applicable boxes in the Categorization area to help you keep track of your file and to help other BoardmakerShare members search for your file. Type in appropriate keywords in the Tags text box. Tags can be a single word or a multi-word phrase that describes the file. Separate all tags with commas.

      • Finally, designate to whom you want your file to be available. Use the drop-down list in the File Availability area of the screen to choose whether the file you have uploaded will be available to Everyone (all BoardmakerShare members), or Only Me. If you want your file to be available to a group, put a checkmark next to the group you want to share the file with.

      • When you have entered the file information on the Share a Board or Activity screen, click Upload File. The file will now appear in the list of files on your My Activities page.

You can easily edit your file information at any time from your My Activities page. Select the file you want to edit (click on its thumbnail or title). A File Details window will open. Click on the Edit link in the Details tab along the right hand side of the window. The Share a Board or Activity screen will open, and you can edit any information for the file. Click Upload File when you are done.

    5. Kelsey,

I see you posted a board that is a social story for boys. Did you get your question answered, or do you still need assistance?
