interactive activities from scratch?

Hi,
I want to learn how to make interactive activities from scratch, but can't find a tutorial for that. I can't find a template that meets my needs and want to learn to create one on my own. Any help?

  • The Boardmaker Online editor gives you access to a limited number of actions by simply double clicking a button to bring up the action editor. This tutorial explains in more detail. http://helpandtraining.boardmakeronli...

Can you explain what you are trying to do? Maybe we should add a template so other people can create what you are creating.

  • Hi Bob,
Thanks for your reply. I will check out the tutorial. What I'm looking for specifically is a type of choice board where a student can:

Pick an emotional state (zone of regulation) that she is currently in
Depending on which state she chooses, she is directed to a choice board with regulation activities or replacement behaviors.
Ideally, as she chooses a regulation activity, it is temporarily taken out of the list so that she is "forced" to choose a different activity.

So, it is a type of if/then choice board - If I'm in the blue zone, here are my choices etc.

Can you think of anything already created that has that type of profile? Thanks, Alice

  • That seems doable.

    1) Can you elaborate on what you mean by "a choice board with regulation activities or replacement behaviors"? Can you provide links to some of these?

    2) How many emotional states are there?

    3) How many activities go along with each state?

  • Hi Bob,
Thanks for considering making a template! Here's some more info:

I have attached an image of what a choice board might look like. Please disregard the images on the top of emotions, it might just have a symbol such as "Yellow Zone". Hopefully you can see the picture below of the choice board with regulation activities.

There are 4 zones of regulation, red, yellow, green, blue. Hopefully you can see the image below of the yellow zone.

I would like to have 5 activities to go along with each state.

Thanks for your support and any additional thoughts! Alice
