Power Users in BM+

Is there any written information or a list of what's available to Power Users in BoardMaker Plus? I can't find anything in the program's help section or online.

I was also interested in knowing why Power Users are able to do things that non-Power Users can't do?

Thanks.

    Hi,

Below is information that comes from on Knowledge Base on Power Users. The Power User is meant to be used by someone who has a greater knowledge of the Boardmaker program than other normal users would.

For advanced board programmers, Boardmaker now offers new "power user" features that can be accessed while programming. Power User features include:

    * Ability to select multiple actions at once in the Button Actions dialog
    * Ability to copy and paste actions between the Button Actions dialog and a text editor
    * Access to the Lock Board action for preventing access to action list editing
    * Access to the Hidden property of the Properties right click button menu
    * Access to the Auto-Translate feature of the Properties right click button menu
    * Automatic access to the advanced features of the Set Button Properties action
    * Access to the Set Button Position action
    * Access to the Convert to Freeform Button feature of the Properties right click symbol menu
    * Access to the Write Text to File action
    * Access to the Print Board action
    * Access to the Write Variable and Read Variables actions
    * Ability to copy and paste macros.

To enter 'power user' mode for Windows, follow these steps:

    1. Select Dynamic Boards.
    2. Select Password.
    3. Type in poweruser (one word - lowercase) and select Enter.
    4. You must restart the program to use the Power User features

To enter 'power user' mode for Mac, follow these steps:

    5. You must restart the program to use the Power User features

To disable 'power user' mode for Windows, follow these steps:

    1. Select Dynamic Boards.
    2. Select Password.
    3. Type in normaluser (one word - lowercase) and select Enter.

To disable 'power user' mode for Mac, follow these steps:

    1. Select Boardmaker with SDP.
    2. Select Preferences.
    3. Select USER ACCESS LEVEL: and select SET.
    4. Type in normaluser (one word - lowercase) and select ENTER.
