Hi there,

It is correct that you just need to update the A record for your domain to the IP address of your vCluster, and it should work.

However, when I query DNS for your domain, is doesn't seem to be pointing at your vCluster IP.

aul-macbook-en1:~ paul$ dig gddu.net +trace

Both www.gddu.net and gddu.net are pointing at 213.83.63.50

You would need to contact your DNS provider to see why it has not updated.

Hope this helps,

Paul

Hi Guys

My existing domain is with GoDaddy and their help material seems to be suggesting that they need two nameservers not the IP account. Can anyone tell me where I can find these on my account?

Hi Paul!
I have done as requested. Is there anything I need to do actually on the cluster or should the transfer be seamless now?

It should just work, but you might need to wait a little while the Godaddy DNS updates.

Hi Jo,

Apologies for the delay replying, I've only just spotted your replies.

This is a public forum so anything posted on here can be read by anyone, but if you plan to launch your website to the world, then it's not really a problem posting the domain or IP on here as these will be available to the world anyway.

If you'd prefer to speak to via e-mail you can e-mail paul AT fubra.com

The link you posted works for me, and takes me to the default Fedora holding page for your account. If you upload some content on there, it should show up.

Can you tell me what you see when you visit the domain in your browser?

Can I just buy Domains and SSL from CatN and Host them there? I feel like I have no time trusting Third Parties

Hi Jacky,

We run a separate domain registration business, which you may wish to use:

That sounds good, but I can't renew these Domains or buy SSL's from CatN though.. maybe a future implementation. and also I pay American Dollars.. would that work?

We are hoping to provide domain registration functions from within CATN in the future, but it's quite low on our todo list at the moment.

If you want to pay in American Dollars that's fine. You would just go through our payment process as normal in British Pounds, and your credit card company should automatically convert our GBP price into USD when it is charged to your card.

I'll join whenever the Domain and SSL can be ordered from the Control Panel.. and also I can't call Support or Sales. My Number doesn't support calling in the US somehow.

Hi,

There is a guide on the CatN website available for pointing a domain name at your vCluster. It is available here: http://catn.com/2010/07/22/pointing-a...

Thanks,

Joe
