EMPLOYEE0the most likely cause for you concern would be that the key fobs aren't learned to your vehicle. unfortunately that will have to be done by the dealer. since you just bought it, regardless of factory warranty, they should do that for you free of charge. if i misunderstood your concern, and the fobs work when unlocking/locking the doors and just the remote start doesn't work, then either we have a case of operator error or module issues. to use the remote start you must press the lock button first, then immediately hold the remote start button for approximately 2 seconds. (even though the manual says two seconds i think it's closer to three) also, if your car has a check engine light on, your remote start will not work until that issue is resolved.
You may try this to program your FOB if the dealer won't do it for you for free:
Close all the vehicle doors.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch.
While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one keyless remote. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds , the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation
