Hi, Carole. Let's see if I can help.

The Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection includes digital versions of newspapers from 1859 to 1923, and in very rare cases until 1930. At this time, CHNC does not include newspapers after 1923 due to copyright restrictions. We have the Chaffee County Republication up to 1926, but do not have 1927-on available online.

Staff at the Denver Public Library may or may not be able to assist you in locating this obituary themselves as they in the midst of a major redesign of the Western History area. They may refer you instead to a list of for-profit researchers who could do the research on-site. You can contact the Denver Public Library Western History division here: http://history.denverlibrary.org/

You could also try contacting the local public library, which may have copies of the 1927 newspaper microfilm in their collection. Again, the library may not be able to handle your obituary request themselves and may refer you to a list of for-profit researchers.

I'm sorry we were not able to help you more in your research, but maybe you'll find some older articles about T. T. Springer in the newspapers we do have online. Please let us know if you have further questions.
