Changes to Subscription Category for a Member!

The example we can have is an Adult Member, then wants to add their family so their category moves to a Family Adult and the corresponding subscription value is different, within the same sport/subscription!

We are new to Club Buzz and preparing our club to be Live for the new calendar year, so ironing out procedures any covering every reasonable eventuality. Not sure best way to deal with a member who changes their subscription. The Financial Report - Committed Installments will show ALL members - be good to specify ALL or pick one is my first suggestion.

But what happens when someone has installments scheduled for the rest of the year and then their category and hence subscription changes. How can we cancel the outstanding payments and what do they see on their statement/transactions? A "refund" is OK if they have cancelled membership outright, but if they have say simply changed their subscription, i.e. moved from one category to another, we can't "spread" the refund over the remaining months???

Also, if we change their category, their sport has not added/changed, so does the new subscription items get assigned at the next month automatically?

Does anyone have a suggestion!

There are so many possible permutations that it would be very difficult to automate this process.
The simple answer is that when such changes as you envisage are made then the treasurer will have to calculate the credit due and apply it at the end of the subscription year (or at more frequent intervals if the amount is substantial).

I agree the number of permutations make automating this difficult.

For a monthly paying member, don't really want to do a "big" credit or "charge" as all they want to see is a change to their monthly payments from that moment.

A way to achieve this would be to create individual monthly credits/charges and date these in the future for the member, aligning them with the committed installments. Long way round but it would get the desired result. Ideally it would be GREAT to be able to apply a refund or charge over a series of months, just like the subscription.

The Committed Installment report will show all future transactions and hence clearly detail what has happened! The Description on this report "I think" is showing the "Sport", might be nice if this extended to include the NOTE as well, if it exists for example in the case of a refund or charge, what you typed in.
