Custom fields - option to make uneditble by member

Is it possible to create custom fields that cannot be edited by a member?

We need to add shirt numbers to the system and the member/player should not be able to edit the field.

If it's not currently possible, could this be added as an option?

We have other needs like this as well - such as adding notes about the status of the players subs.

Further, it would be even more useful to have custom fields that could also be hidden from the member.

Sorry Charis missed this one... currently all fields are editable by the member

You can add squad numbers in the team set up (appreciate this isn't always the same as shirt number) if that helps for now.

Would it be more helpful to have squad number and shirt number in the team set up as an example??

Hi Sarah,

The shirt number is applicable at club level, as opposed to team level. So it would make much more sense to have a non-editable field (non-editable by the player) on the player's page.

One of the issues with having it on the team page as it's not possible to export an all club member report showing all shirt numbers. The only report I can find that currently shows the squad numbers is the Team report > Player allocation. This doesn't work really because A. the formatting - you can't just export that to csv and filter, it requires lots of manual manipulation and B. it only shows players who are currently allocated to a team. We have lots of players who get injured, or don't play for one or two seasons, but still retain their shirt number.

Hope that all makes sense. Thanks.

Are you thinking of a theoretical ‘Admin only’ field that’s visible to the club admins, and gets stored in their membership record, but doesn’t appear on the member’s profile that they can edit?

Ideally there'd be three types of fields stored on a membership record:

Editable by both player and club admins. Visible to both player and club admins.
Editable by club admins only. Visible to both player and club admins.
Editable by club admins only. Visible to club admins only.
