Display venues/maps with fixtures on Team Pages and Calendar (e.g. Home and Away makes no sense for our club)

Can the venue address and map be displayed with the fixtures?
The Team page doesn't show either of them; the Calendar displays just address (if added to the first field).
Not sure if I'm missing something but it looks like the only person benefiting from the full addresses and maps is currently only the webmaster.
The information of Home/Away matches is completely redundant for us as we've got several home venues.
I think one of the reasons our club members do not really use the website is because it can't display all the information about fixtures and other events; so this could be a big step forward to better internal use.

I agree with Iva - it would be very helpful to be able to add additional info along with the fixtures so that members would get everything they need from the website. At present the schedule (calendar) does have some of the info, but in a rather unhelpful format. Club members prefer to see the fixtures by team - so they like to check the fixtures under the Meet the teams section, but this doesn't display which home venue a match is at.
Consequently I have to email members spreadsheets with fixture lists, which rather negates much of the point of using the website.
I would also like to be able to upload the venue (we also have several home venues) when I do a bulk import, but I can't see how to do this.
I seem to recall that this has been raised a few years ago and then Sarah said that it would be looked at in the next meeting with the site developer. Did anything happen?

Hi Iva, we will take a look at this would suggest that from current teams page if member clicks on home/away it opens a new window with additional info including name of venue/home venue maps/notes

Tim, when you upload fixtures now it takes you to a new screen where you can allocate venues this has been in place for a couple of seasons now

Hi Sarah,

Yes, the new screen is an improvement, but it would still be easier if the specific venue could be uploaded when you do the bulk import of fixtures. I take it that is not possible at present?

Re your comments to Iva - it would be very good if you could click a link from the fixture as listed in the team pages - I think there was a comment from someone else on a different topic asking for more info to be available for away fixtures. This should link in with the schedule/calendar - at present unless you can be bothered to repeat the oppositions name as a venue (which isn't the same thing), the venue is shown as TBC, which is not as impressive as having an address or nice map.

I think it would also be helpful if there were some development work on the schedule/calendar. EG you can jump to a day, but then to get back to a month view you have to recycle through the main menu. Likewise if you select an event or fixture to view, you have to recycle through the menu. Would it be possible to add a button in these screens which would return you to the month view? I know that people could instead use the back-button in their browser, but some folk just don't like doing that. Another wish would be for a weekly view - this would enable more info to be displayed for each fixture/event - in the month view you can't see very much.

Thanks
Tim

Also, opposition teams use the web site for directions of where they are coming to.  That is far easier is a) there was a link from the fixture, b) a map could be placed on the Team page

Agree that a better display of calendar events would be useful. At present, on a Saturday, you can only see about the 1st 4 matches and even then you can only see the 1st 4 words of the fixture. Not very useful at all. Taller boxes for each day and smaller text font for each event might work better. (Would mean more scrolling down to see whole month but I don't think that matters.)

I'd like to see this function - we upload which venue (which pitch) and then it isn't shown in the fixture list - very frustrating for the players who want to know where to go to for their match. Felicity
