Events - format links and venues

This is a series of linked suggestions related to ease of use of Events which I feel could greatly improve this aspect of the system.

1) Allow formatting within a Event Notes.

At the moment no formatting is allowed and all line breaks etc are eliminated when the event notes and details are displayed. This makes it very awkward to give detailed information - such as race start times for different age groups etc - as everything is just stuffed together in slab of text

2) Allow click-able hyper-links in Event Notes

Often an event will have a web page or site of its own with detailed information - it would be much simpler if readers of the site could click through to it.

3) Make the Venue a click-able hyperlink to the Venue address and map

4) Extend the Venue details to include formatable notes (eg details of changing facilities, refreshments, parking etc) , a click-able website hyperlink and preferably a Google Maps "Get Directions" button

5) Create tags for emails and text messages for venues so that the venue details can be included in communications about an event automatically.

Thanks for all these suggestions, we have a raft of developments taking place at present but will certainly keep hold of these suggestions for a later date - love to hear back from other clubs on these suggestions too!

These all sound good ideas. The majority of our XC and Road Race events are not hosted by us so the ability to hyperlink to information about them would be really useful.

We would also value some of these suggestions. Currently the formatting on emails makes reading the information difficult as there are odd line breaks.  Members have indicated that they would prefer something with formatting options and also the ability to set headings to make the essential information easier to pick out when skim reading.

You can subscribe to campaign emails which allow much more flexibility in formatting emails - in account page you will see option to purchase campaign credits

Any movement on this? The lack of formatting options and flexibility for those with the knowledge to do more is a little dissappinting at the moment.

The ability to send messages to those who have accepted/declined/not yet responded would be very useful too

Emails comms are improved with campaigns added earlier this year (purchased via account page)
