Multiple Sponsor Links

Hi,

I'd like the option to display more than 3 sponsors logos/links on our home page. We have multiple sponsors/supporters whom I'd like to have constantly acknowledged on the home page, not displayed randomly. I appreciate there probably needs to be a limit on how many can be displayed but 3 seems too few - I could do with up to 10 (which would give me a few more than I currently need).

Thanks,

Paul.

Hi Paul

Assume you mean using the banner on the website? It would be great if that could be edited to adjust the numbers of pictures and the Size of the banner as well

Also on the About Us we have blank space under the 3 sponsors so more could be shown. When a sponsor visits our site it is not good that we appear not to have acknowledged them

We are working on a new responsive design and there will be the option for clubs to switch to a new template, there will be 4 sponsor logo holders along the bottom of the page but we are also planning some changes to photos which would enable a click through to a URL and adding some wording which could be used for sponsors. We would not have the option for 10 due to design elements, sponsor logos do rotate but you can also add in sponsor page within custom pages which can be done very successfully to showcase them

My sponsor logos seem to have stopped rotating. I have 8 or 9 loaded, 2 of which are fixed as "Priority" so the rest should rotate but it is only ever the same 3 that appear.

Why, when there is so much space, does there need to be a restriction at all? Increasing to 4 permitted logos will ease the problem but not solve it.

I have created the custom page but sponsors quite reasonably want and expect their logo on the home page.

Paul what is your website we can look at you sponsors to see if rotating?

As mentioned earlier in this thread we are making changes and this will give you more options for sponsors

Sarah, re "the option for clubs to switch to a new template, there will be 4 sponsor logo holders along the bottom of the page" - showing 4 sponsors instead of 3 does not sound like a good use of programing resource. Suggest effort be dedicated to the final solution please

Thanks for your comments, however we have a design which we feel offers clubs a great solution for showcasing their club, Our design concept has never been to fill the home page with sponsors, twitter feeds etc but to provide a clean and professional template.

The new template when ready will have one additional space and a different use of the main poster image that will allow for links to other sites so is an enhancement on the current offer and one we are delighted with

This will be available later this year.

In terms of effort we do consider all requests for development and focus our energy on those we feel add most value to our clubs.

Please forgive my bluntness Sarah but it should not be for Clubbuzz to dictate how many sponsors user clubs "fill" their home page with. My club has multiple sponsors all of whom I want to give equal and prominent exposure. If I cannot guarantee them a home page slot that makes us a less attractive proposition and is likely to mean less sponsorship and less income. And all because Clubbuzz feels the available space is better left blank. Surely if clubs want to fill their home page with sponsors that's their lookout not yours. And it seems there are clubs such as mine that want/need that option.

I accept your bluntness but we have a day to day requirement to balance the needs and desires of over 25 different sports and recreation activities, not all of whom have the same requirements or desires, There are many requests for items to be added, deleted, amended etc and as such we do have to make decisions, some of which may not be popular with some clubs.

Sorry you are not happy with this particular decision we will as always review periodically.

But if those clubs don't want to display more than 3 or 4 sponsors they don't have to, just as they don't have to display more than 1 (or even any) currently. I don't understand why the option for more can't be there for those that want it. It shouldn't affect others.

Paul. Sorry but we could go round in circles here, ClubBuzz offer a template solution as such it will not have every element available that a bespoke product does. Our design is not reducing the options that have always been available to you and we will, as stated continue to monitor feedback from clubs on this and other topics posted both here and received via email

Once again I am sorry that you feel unhappy with this

OK so after consideration we have a compromise which is that the current template will not change, there will be no additional sponsor links.

However, we will offer a greater number of sponsor logos In the new template which you may or may not opt to use once available. This is not finalised in terms of numbers yet as the designer is now reformatting our home page design to accommodate. I also cannot yet say whether sponsor links in the new template will show on other pages too, we need to consider the effect the changes we are making will have on the whole design.

I hope that this goes some way to reassure you of our continued commitment to trying to make our solutions work for all
