Is it possible to have a members only web page that is only accessible to say coaches. Could it look at the roles to determine access rights?

Can you clarify exactly what you would like to see?

We would like to give the coaches access to training documentation and general admin stuff that we wouldn't want the rest of the membeship able to see. So within the members area we could create a private coaches page which would require a special role in order to be accessed in the same way you restrict access to other parts of the system.

This is some thing we would also like to do. Would be great if Coaching staff, managers & captains, committee members, could have private pages/areas they could share files, news etc, etc.

Further thought..

Rather than a section under the membership area, could it not be a section in part of the members dashboard when they log in?

I'd agree with this too, possibly make a password protected page?

This is exactly what we are looking for too. some where we can store out session plans and information that the general membership should not have access to.
any update on this area?

Looks like there is plenty of interest in this so we will add it to the agenda for our next development meeting

Yeah, we are looking to have a committee only section within the members area where we could upload documentation to be seen by only small section of the membership - our only alternative atm is to use something like dropbox.

Any news on this. We won't buy this product until some of the basics like this are in place!

Having just done out latest upgrade this is now on the agenda and we expect to include it next time - we expect this to be something like adding a member role of "library access" and then set one page in the members area that can only be accessed by these role holders - this page can be a standard page and the club can upload documents etc.

We tend to do 3 or 4 upgrades a year so would expect to try and get the next one out before Christmas

We will be adding a couple of new features in the next couple of weeks:

1. Make a private page accessible only by members who are on the committee section (wether they be team management/coach or committee member) they will all be able to access any private page that has been set as committee members only

2. You will be able to upload documents to the site pdf/word/excel and only superusers/club admnistrator or member who you give new role of repository access will be able to access. With documents you will be able to attach to a member if required e.g. copy of qualifications etc

All will be notified via newsletter when going live
