My Coke Rewards Account Access Problem

  • Problem
  • Updated 3 years ago
I have been trying to access my MyCokeRewards account for over a week in order to enter more codes so that my points don't expire on 1/25/09. When I enter my email address and password, I get a message: Error. Sorry we cannot process your request right now. Please try again later. Can you figure out why I'm having this problem. I've entered many codes with no problems in the past. Thanks.

No one has put any dates to these postngs. Its March 31st - 09 & I haven't been able to get it to work for 3 weeks. I called Coke & they said they are aware of the problem & that was 3 weeks ago. The Coke gadget works though & I can put my codes in & the points go up but what good is it? I will update if I know anything further.

One more update: just got through to Coke after holding for 15 minutes & they are taking peoples email addresses & sending updates to those people having problems getting in. Not everyone is having a problem they said. Try it from a different computer........maybe that will help? I will update when I know more.

I did finally get in last week & was able to order somethign for my points. Youare right, the points are not worth as much as they used to be for instance you can no longer get a free 12 pack - only a dollar off & they pick witch type of product the points are good for. Not good on Vanilla Cokes, Cherry Coke, etc. So you are stuck with regular Coke, Barqs, Sprite or diet coke. Pretty boring but at least its working!

Try a different browser, use Firefox or Chrome. Good Luck.

I have even called customer service. They said they are aware. So why could I enter codes until recently ? Why not simply undo the recent change? The My Coke Rewards Site was always painfully slow, but at least it worked. It's aggravating. Enough that if they delete my points after all this time, I will not ever buy another Coke product.

I am having the same problem and checking around, I found information to use a different browser. I have used IE, Firefox, Opera, and Safari, and encounter the same problem with them all. I cannot connect or I connect and when I try any other interaction with the site, I am told that I have been timed out and try again. I have over 7000 points and do not want to lose, even though their rewards have been crappy lately.

The website does not work. However, you text the codes in and they still work and post and give you your points

What is the point of adding points to something you can't access? If you can't use the points for rewards, or enter sweepstakes, it's like putting money in a ponzi scheme & I may be wrong but, don't you need to access the site to set up texting?

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE POINT IS ABOUT ADDING POINTS WHEN YOU CANNOT ACESS YOUR ACCOUNT TO EVEN ADD THE POINTS

I repeat you can text the codes through your cellphone and it responds with acknowledgment and total points. It is a temporary fix until the site starts working properly, because the site keeps saying you have timed out and wants you to sign in again and continues in an endless loop. Using the texting method prevents you from losing your accumulated points that are lost after a certain time, and besides the current rewards, which you cannot access either, are not worth the effort.

The last time I checked the site, neither the rewards or sweepstakes are kind of lame. Texting lets you keep adding to your points and not lose any. I am sure the site will be fixed and better rewards and sweeps will follow.

Jerry, You may have added the ability to text in your points when you signed on to the Rewards program, but if you haven't registered your cell phone when you signed up, there is no way for Coke to know where the points are coming from or where they should go.

I've been trying to log in for months & access my points, enter codes, & enter sweepstakes, but every time I'Ve tried to log in I got an error message telling me to try later. I've essentially turned off all security features to my computer & still couldn't get into the site. I finally got throuh by using Firefox as my browser, which finally allowed me to install the flash player correctly.
Internat Explorer told me everything was working fine (obviously not), so I suggest updating Firefox & reinstalling your Flashplayer, & Thank You Robert!

I feel you Michael, I tried today to enter my codes and was not able to do so, I kept getting a message that stated there was a problem with my codes, so I move to another location and computer and recieved amessage saying, "we do recognize your e-mail or you pasword! This smells like a scam to me and we the public are the joke for even believening that this was real.

I had a similar problem with redeeming points. I wanted to download a fitness video and the code was invalid. Coke Rewards said I had to contact the company, which I was able to do only through email. They told me they were having technical difficulties but I could now resubmit the code. But it still didn't work and I never got a reply to my email. I made so many calls to Coke to get my points refunded so I could pick something else. Coke was not at all interested in helping to resolve the issue. It didn't matter how many numbers I called and how many supervisors I spoke with, they were all across the board completely insensitive to the issue--100% unhelpful. When I pointed this out, the supervisor pretty much agreed and hoped that the promo dept would be able to help me. Bottom line is it's not worth the trouble doing the rewards program because Coke is so big that they can afford to treat customers horribly without accountability. One only need read the Wiki to see how low they go! At this time (2/2/10) my issue is not yet resolved.

Okay, I think I have a solution for most of you. I'll bet that most of you experiencing this have Norton anti virus on your computer. That's what was stopping me, and here is how I rectified it. Go to mycokerewards.com and click on "Sign Up". This will attempt to access their secure web server. When I did that Norton complained that the security certificate was not validated and wanted my permission to add an exception for the mycokerewards.com secure server. After I told it to add an exception I can now log in to my account.

As best as I can tell, when you try to log in it sends your log in info to their secure server and if you have advanced virus and network protection, like Norton, it gets blocked without an error message. If you don't have Norton but you can't log in to mycokerewards.com then check to see if another anti virus program or advanced firewall protection might be preventing the connection to their secure server.

Message to Coke - update your damned security certificate!

Don't know who is still checking here but I had the same problem, both IE and Firefox. Solved it by changing popup blocker to allow the website as an exception.

Start Firefox and go to Tools/Options/Content. I had "Block pop-up windows" checked so I clicked on Exceptions, added the mycokerewards website address, clicked Allow and Close. Restarted Firefox and it now works.

Try it, it could be your issue, too.

Never mind - I signed in, I could add points but I'm back in the log-in loop when I try to redeem. Tried a lot of things including adding the specific page to the Exceptions but I can't get that to work.

Idiots.

is anyone having a problem with the site refreshing too quickly to enter rewards codes? I try to enter codes, but the web page auto refreshes too quickly. I've tried to email mycokerewards, but they just auto reply with a very nice "thank you, someone will get back to you" email which no one responds too. Here is the email I have: mycokerewards.general@na.ko.com. Does anyone have an 800# or better email address?

I think your going to wrong address, & possibly letting someone steal your codes. I use {mycokerewards.com} only.
