"Your system files are different from the ones expected by Vistaglazz. This could be caused by microsoft updates or other applicatons." and "The msstyle file is invlaid" That's what I get when I try using VistaGlazz. I'm runnning Windows Vista SP2 64bit. A little help anyone?? I've included two snapshots.
.
Cheers, Peter

Did you have a look at our help file under 'frequently asked questions'/'How to resolve an invalid system or style state'? The section 'What can I do to resolve this problem?' describes some things you could try to make sure that this problem isn't related to your system's state

Vista Glazz stopped working immediately after a Microsoft Update. I'm using Vista SP2 (it worked until now 10th Feb)

Same issue - just did a windows update and all aero functions reverted to a botched classic style. Uninstalling vistaglazz solved the problem, but now it can't install it again. My system files were different to what were expected.
Can't believe how irritated the taskbars going solid make me!

Did a windows update this morning and had a similar problem. All my windows reverted back to that old school ugly gray color.

My Opinion:
Make a system restore for the time before windows update. Open VistaGlazz, unpatch the system files. Reboot if needed. Make Windows update again and wait for Code Gazer company to solve this problem.

I also had this "old school ugly gray color". Now have patched with 2.2 version and all look well again, but still there is "Your system files are different from the ones expected by Vistaglazz" and style patch is not available.

I had the same problem as everybody else, but after I updated to 2.2, everything was fine. One thing that really worried me was that System Restore did nothing, it would always end with a message saying that it had failed and I needed to try an older restore point.
I don't know if this was part of the problem, but I'm a little hesitant to you VistaGlazz after this...

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM:
(Thursday, 17 March 2011, 04:10:03AM GMT)

I uninstalled "Update for Windows Vista (KB971029)" that was installed on the 16/03/2011 - And restarted computer and it worked, it allowed me to re-patch files and use Windows7 theme using VistaGlazz 2.3.

Hope this helps.

@Jordan, I tried uninstalling that and uhm... nothing happened, and now I'm worried I might have uninstalled something important...

Why aren't we getting any answers?

@Eric Álvarez don't worry, soon as windows restarts it should re-install it again but the theme still worked after it re-installed.

I'll take a look see if anything else can be causing this. and i'm unsure i've sent them an email (an Official Rep) and still no reply right now. I'll update you if i know anything,

Jordan,

That 2.3 actually did solve my computer's problem, but not everyone has the same computer, or expertise. We simply just want a program to work, yet many of us trash our computers with clutter that might prevent the program(s) from doing it's/their job(s). Okay, so I went into the yonder, but it's clear that a few, or many, still need a solution.

Edit: Okay, so uninstalling the update, installing the 2.3, and then reinstalling the update (after a Restart)fixes it, plus it let's us keep the update, which would be important for a reason or they wouldn't have given it out. Thanks.

Thanks @Jordan and @Megamanextreme. I asked again because the uninstalling and reinstallign didn't work for me. I'll try and check if there's something else not letting 2.3 work... (plus, the update did not reinstall and I can't find it yet). I hope there's some news on this subject (might be my solution).

Thanks
