I'm running Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 and I just installed the newest version of VistaGlazz but it says my files arn't what VistaGlazz was expecting.

I'm not sure what to do. I was really looking forward to downloading my favorite themes.

Same thing here but VistaGlazz shows the msstyles file is patched and everything seems to be working 'OK' except for going back to Windows Classic with no Aero options after a recent Windows Update.

I have the same problem.
I installed VistaGlazz like half a year ago, and it worked perfectly with a theme from deviantArt.
Then, a few days ago, I installed the newest windows update and when the computer was finished rebooting instead of the custom theme it was the classic theme.
I could nether change it back to what i was using before, nor to the normal vista theme.
Therefor I opened VistaGlazz, and it says my system files were different from the ones expected by VistaGlazz. The Aero Style seemed to be still okay, but only when I had this be transfered back to its original state i could use vista theme again. Custom themes are still not working, of course.

Anyone knows if there is or will be a solution to this problem?

(By the way, I'm running Vista SP1 in 32bit; and VistaGlazz is 2.2)

Yesterday evening we've build a new version that should take care of this problem. As soon as our advertising partner approves that build, we'll release it. Expect a new version this week.

i also get this error with the old version:
http://upload.techmania-hosts.com/u/r... ugh..

** UPDATE: I downloaded v2.3 from download.com (http://download.cnet.com/VistaGlazz/3...) and i still get the error in screen shot above but in 2.3 i've read the faq and 'How to resolve an invalid system or style state' but what do i do?

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM:
(Thursday, 17 March 2011, 04:10:03AM GMT)

I uninstalled "Update for Windows Vista (KB971029)" that was installed on the 16/03/2011 - And restarted computer and it worked, it allowed me to re-patch files and use Windows7 theme using VistaGlazz 2.3.

How to do this:

Windows Vista: Start > Control Panel > Windows Update > View Update History (on the left i believe) > select 'To remove an update, see Installed Updates' > sort by date (click Date Installed On) > Check for "Update for Windows Vista (KB971029)" > Right Click > Uninstall. (reboot/restart)

* i can not guarantee this will work or resolve any issue(s).

Hope this helps.

I'm having this problem too. Everything was fine for a very long time until the recent update. But Vistaglazz crashes when I use it. Not even diagnostic works...Please help. Is there any way I can manually remove the patches created by VistaGlazz?

The diagnostic should be able to resolve any issues VistaGlazz reports.
Please use the diagnostic's repair function if you run into any problems.

Please take caution when you make modifications yourself because you could damage your system.
