Comcast email down. Anyone else having the sam problem?

My email has been down since 1am. I called the service center and it has been "escalated" They said it was down due to an upgrade.

i HAVE THE SAME THING IT STARTED SOMETIME LAST NIGHT 10/21. I CALLED AND THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO THE UPGRADE. HOW CAN IT TAKE THAT LONG

Even after spending one hour with their live chat to fix the problem, it still exists. I have not received email since the new service SMART began.

im in nj & comcast/smart zone new email is down. I called comcast & a rep said it started only 2 or 3 hrs. ago. from what u guys wrote, they got it wrong.....he said he doesn't how long it will be down & that it's due to the upgrade of Smart Zone email....blah, blah, blah, i want my email!

I am unable to access my comcast email account via SmartMail and my email program (Mac Mail). I don't have the time to wait hours to talk to a rep via Live Chat. And it doesn't help to ask me to email Comcast. I am in Massachusetts.

I have not been able to access my Comcast email account since 10/23/08. Apparently, HP, which collaborated on SmartZone with Comcast, is now involved in trying to get the fix. But Generallee is correct, the solution is Fios.

i cannot get into my primary or my secondary email at smartzone for comcast. i live in chattanooga tn, the only choice is comcast, i am very frustrated about this situation.

yes, the same issue I had back in oct, back again. this is absurd. I was told by a comcast rep to switch to gmail. Great confidence they have in their product.

Yep, Comcast email is down again. But they deserve credit for acknowledging it this time on comcast.net:
"If you are having trouble logging into email, please try again later."

(Of course, it would be nice if they elaborated. Like maybe two sentences?)

I called, waited on the line for about 4 minutes, got a representative who acknowledged that their email service is down, and would not be up again until about 3 or 4 pm (Eastern time, I assumed). They wouldn't say WHAT is wrong -- just that it is down.

Called at 9am and was told that it will be fixed right away.

2pm now and still waiting.....

FIOS – please come quickly! Can't wait till this summer when they will finally be in my neighborhood. I also hate SmartMail, especially hate the way it indexes e-mails.

Email down here too...........it would have been nice if there was a way for Comcast to notify us of the problem. I realized that it was a pervasive problem when I tried to call technical support and they told me that too many calls were coming in and I had to call later. The call was then abruptly ended. Great customer service.............

Where is FIOS? We do not get it in our town................ but when we do....goodbye Comcast

Be careful what you wish for. All I hear are complaints from Friends and Family that have switched. FIOS is a NIGHTMARE!!! Too many issues to list but according to one friend he has to reset his box once a week. Channel surfing is PAINFULLY SLOW!!!! My parents have it and when I go to there house I can't stand the channel menu system, it is TERRIBLE. I'm sticking with Comcast until I start to hear positive things from my friends.

BTW my mail is down too. It's disappointing but it's my first real problem with Comcast in years.
