I’m optimistic

Please offer a place to track the recipes that I want to make in the future

Dear Cookstr,
I often see a recipe that I would like to try, but I might not have the time to make it that week. Rather than print the recipe and leave it in a stack of cookbooks on my shelf, I would appreciate an easy way to keep track of these recipes on your website. Just like you have a button to "favorite" a recipe, can you also have a button to "Save for later"? The list of recipes that a person has "saved for later" can show up under MyCookstr in a list right beside the list of your favorites. This would make it very easy for me to go back later and remember what I wanted to make.

Thanks!

  • Thanks so much for sharing this idea! It's definitely something that we're working on rolling out for Cookstr.com users. We know that there are many more ways that people want to keep track of recipes beyond "favoriting" - from recipes that they plan to use for a particular occasion, to recipes they're tracking for nutritional purposes. Please keep sharing your fantastic ideas and user needs with us, and we'll keep you posted on our progress as we introduce new features and functions soon!

    All the best,

  • Dear Shaara,

Have you noticed the "Want to Cook" button and list we've introduced? They're live on both the web version of Cookstr.com that you're used to and our new mobile Cookstr.com -- just try it out on any mobile device. Let us know what you think!

    All the best,
    Kara
