in Abandoned/Live Carts is better to have more information about the products, SKU, qty and subtotal for each product.

I would like to see customer info if they input it, like Christos mentioned the sku qty subtotal, and referral source (url like what they typed in google to find us, or which site they came from), also what time they were in the cart would be nice too.

I would also like to know the time of the customer putting products in the cart. I watch this all day. I have courtesy called some in the past to offer help with their order and found that they are about to order from someone else. In one case, I made a 2K sale by just lowering the price by $100. Awesome tool that could even be better!

I'd like to see the IP address so I can compare it to web stats or try to determine if it's a bot.

What would be great is if you could export the Abandoned Cart data too so that you could see what items/quantity are being abandoned per cart.

1) so what about this feature?

2) can we have also the information of the url that the client was before leave the cart?

3) What about asking sooner just the email of the client in order to be able to send him email if he abandon the cart ?

@Christos, this is a good idea in my opinion as well. Its not something we have added into the system yet, as we are adding a lot of new things that have been on the plate for the last few months.

I suspect this is something we may see added in the future, but we have not set a hard release date for this specific thing yet.

@Christos, We did a release in May 2011. You can see what was added at www.corecommerce.com/blog each time we do a release.

@Jessica, as for the feature we are discussing here in this post, its been added to our list of features to consider for the future. I don't have a specific date or ETA on when you might see it at this time.

Knowing the time would be helpful.

Currently we are manually emailing the customer stating that "we saw you began placing an order for ____ but didn't complete it. We hope you didn't have any problems....call us at..."

We have been able to capture 50% of the orders.

Being able to do this off an autoresponder would be AWESOME!

I use the abandoned/live cart feature a lot and having the IP address has been very helpful. I've discovered that most of my abandoned carts are a bot (a specific one) with only a small percentage being actual customers.

It would be really nice to have a time stamp of some kind, either when the cart was created, or when it was abandoned.

We are now filtering many know search engine IP ranges. The number of abandoned carts should greatly reduced now!

I just have to say that I am LOVING the new abandoned cart info! No more bots, loads of useful information! Thanks CC for changing this. The only other thing I could possibly ask for is the time stamp, but that would be just for convenience sake. Good job CC!

We are considering how we want it to work, what information we want to track and display, and so on. We are considering the idea, it's just not planned for implementation at this time. Please also consider that the community, which is important to us for feedback and ideas, represents an extremely small portion of our users (less than 1%). We do have to also consider what our research is telling us that the market, in general, is wanting. We aim to strike a balance between the community and research in order to provide the best features we can in the time available. Trust me, this isn't being ignored. This feature is on several sketch pads and white boards in our headquarters, so it's definitely being considered. Thanks for you participation and helping us make a better product!
