Is it possible to have a log on Sportstatz so that we can identify who has made adjustments to the system?

For instance, a result has been entered incorrectly on to our system by a member of the club....but as the administrators we have no idea who the user was. This means we cannot approach the individual concerned and help them learn the system so that there next entry is more accurate.

I realize that this is probably not the simplest thing but I do think it would help the League's administrators.

Hi Graeson,

We have some of this information stored already, just not viewable by the admins.

To help me understand where the best place to start is, can you tell me specifically which result was entered incorrectly? Was it an innings score, a match score or something else?

It isn't necessarily one error (as we're just starting the system we're expecting teething issues), but, for instance, a report has been for Little Bardfield Village vs Colchester & East Essex. There's data there from the C&EE performances, but nothing from LBV. As it is the home team's responsibility to enter the result, we would expect the complete game to be there - but without knowing who put the data on the result we cannot drop them a line.

That's just an isolated example of course. It may be that one of the admins for a particular side keeps making the same error over and over. Without being able to identify who it is via the log, we can only approach on a club or division basis.

The log would probably not be long - in fact, if everything went well it should only have three items listed: match created, result entered, approved. However, it would be good to have access to this info.

Hope that helps.

I have started by getting the "last saved" info shown at the bottom of each match results screen. This should at least give you some info to help track odd results. It is not perfect, but it is a short-term solution.

Thanks for that....as you say a short-term solution. If you could just do the "Last saved" along with the identity of who had saved it that would be even better.

That's precisely what has been done. Check it out and let me know what you think.
