Built-in Coffeescript support
Would be nice to write extensions in CoffeeScript, not only in JS. It makes for a far better development experience

Hello Wizard,
We have been playing with this idea for a while and its definitely down our roadmap.
Just out of curiosity, how would you see such solution / integration between Crossrider & CoffeeScript ?
What would be the *perfect* implementation for you ? -
-
Well, just allow to add .coffee files and auto-convert them when preparing installers. Don't think anything special is required.
Code examples in coffeescript would probably be handy, but not required.
P. S. wizzard0 != wizard ;) -

This idea == very yes. I agree with wizzard0 -- it's really as simple as, when compiling the extension, convert extension.coffee to extension.js; throw an error if both exist. I was developing a chrome extension this way for a while, just running something on the command line to compile .coffee files from a source dir to the extension dir whenever they changed, and it worked great.
