I've just confirmed the following:
1. That for our app ID 216, from within the Crossrider Admin > Publish, the 'Enable Windows Installer' option is NOT checked.
2. On Windows 7 Desktop, latest Chrome and Firefox both are prompted to install/download an installer.exe file instead of proceeding with browser specific installation.
This is causing issues for one of our institutional users who has admin setting such that they can install extensions, but can't run downloaded programs.
Thanks,
Mike

Enable Windows Installer for All Browsers publish option not respected

Hey Mike,
We will take a look at this right away and fix it if there is any issues.
In the meanwhile you can send you partners this Chrome and Firefox direct link:
Chrome:

Firefox:

Hey Mike,
We were unable to recreate the issue you are experiencing.
We took the liberty and also checked your installation page:
http://www.introrocket.com/install/
Chrome and Firefox installers are being served when clicking the install button from the respected browsers.
Please bear in mind that when you change or update the install widget properties you will need to copy/paste the install widget code again and embed it in your page for the changes to take effect.
We have noticed that you are using the old embed code so its a good time to upgrade it now :)
If we looked at the wrong page then please let me know the correct URL so we can inspect it ourselves. -

Thanks for taking a look at this, we should probably just remove that page as we no longer send clients there.
We brought the install page within the app (need to authenticated) as this fit our signup model better. The URL is - https://app.introrocket.com/v1/contri... - But like I said you'll need to signup first, which is free but a bit of a pain.
For expediency's sake I took a screenshot of both the page and view source:

That sure _looks_ like the current publish js snippet from Crossrider Publish tab and is where I was testing from. -

Michael,
We've verified and the "Enabled Windows Installer" checkbox works correctly on the Publish App tab.
My suggestion is to copy/paste again the generated embed code after making sure that "Enabled Windows Installer" is unchecked, OR simply remove the property "bundle:true" from the embed code on your page.
If you are still seeing this issue in the Code Generator then please send us the screenshot from from your App Edit -> Publish tab.
Thanks. -

Shmueli,
I'm just foolish and had a bad mental model of how changing that check box worked. I thought it changed some server side variable in your extension serving code not a value that was in the javascript code generation.
I went in and removed the "bundle:true" line and everything works as expected.
Sorry for the hassle and as always thanks for the quick response.
