If I create a brand new extension, uncomment the line:
alert("My new Crossrider extension works! The current page is: " + document.location.href);
in the api.ready method, install it on FireFox, and restart FireFox nothing happens when I go to a web page. Are extensions not working with the latest FireFox? I'm on Windows 8.1 if that matters.

Hello Jim,
I followed the steps you provided, creating a new extensions and uncommenting the alert. Then I installed and tested the extension on Win8.1/FF37.0.2 and the alert appeared as expected.
Try clearing your browser cache, downloading and installing a fresh copy of the extension.Comment -
