Thanks!
Currently we support IE, FF and Chrome (coming really soon). Our future development (extending our API, supporting additional browsers, etc.) will be based upon the demand we will get from our users.
If we see enough demand for Safari, we will announce our roadmap for supporting this browser.

Hi,
Since you guys already support Chrome, I believe supporting Safari is pretty simple (from what I know). There are a lot of use cases of Mac people using their default browser...
Thanks! -
-
You are right. it shouldn't be difficult... just matter of focus :)
We will get there! (hopefully soon) -

Great! Any guess how long I'll be hanging? Either way, that's great to know.

As we are still expanding our API and adding more features to the current supported browsers, Safari support might take some time. I don't see it completed in the next two months :(
Just heads up on this... -

We would love to use the supported version for Safari :) Amazing product btw realy helped us out. Keep up the good work !

Thanks :)
We are already working on Safari support. It should be ready by the end of this month (July) but there are some technical issues so it might get delayed a bit.
Anyway, you should expect Safari version soon ;-)- view 2 more comments

Is there any way people can contribute? I need this and its either you guys coming out with safari support in the next 2 weeks or me going and making a safari plugin. Instead of writing a safari plugin from scratch I could just contribute to crossrider. Email me.

jbeasley6651 please email us to support [at] crossrider [dot] com (your email information in here is confidential for us as well).
I'll be happy to give you access to our alpha version of Safari - it's the first version but was never tested properly.

Popping in here to ask if Safari is supported? I want to limit all browsers that my toolbar won't work on before I go public with it. I see that a few months ago it was stated to be live in a month, so with that said, it should be supported by now, no?

Hey Jordan,
It's in beta and in testings. We don't have auto-packing of the extension yet on Safari and trying to solve this before public launch.
Also, as we had some other cool features that got higher priority (full stats dashboard, monetization tools, make Crossrider totally free!, etc.) I assume it's fair to assume it will go public by the end of March.

Adding Safari browser and you didnt even fixed IE Browser that is mainly used as default windows browser. I hope you can fix IE so its not installed from binary.

Can you please explain what is needed to be fixed on IE? The current version is pretty solid and support millions of daily active users!
Also, IE extensions/addons are binary only (unlike Chrome and Firefox). There is no other option for IE :) -
-
Oh, I didnt know that there are no other options for IE, only execution .exe.
I think its little suspicious for users that wanna try extension. -
-
Just look at Browser Stats, IE is so bad accepting extension:
1 Chrome 60,14%
2 Firefox 33,35%
3 Internet Explorer 6,51% -

Eugene,
We don't have Safari button support yet but we do have Safari support for everything else! -

-
Eugene,
We are working on a more integrated method for Safari.
As now it requires a bit of manual work, please email support@crossrider.com so we will help you with the process.
Once we will have Safari automatically integrated to the system there will be almost no action required from the user end to enable its support. -
-
Hi, I am trying to install the PlugIn into Safari. A popup says "Browser not supported yet". Is there a manual workaround or is Safari off the list for the moment?
-
-
Alex,
Please contact support@crossrider.com to understand exactly how to add support to Safari. -
-
are you going to make Safari button now, after IE button is released?

I’m
confident
Yes. (we are still going to update the documentation on how to work with the new button, as we also improved it dramatically that you don't need to pre-upload your icons but can simply use any image you have upload to your resources directory <-- that means you can auto-update it at any time)
Soon our Safari api will be identical to the others :) -
-
Is there an official place to keep up-to-date on Safari support status?
-
-
Scott,
I've forgot to update this thread.
Since couple of months now Crossrider is fully supporting Safari as well.
Go ahead and visit your App Settings => Safari Settings and follow the step by step tutorial to fully customize it. -
-
-
-
-
It will definitely be supported and it's down our roadmap.
I will update this thread once we will have an exact Safari Button Support release date. -
-
-
-
Has there been any update on the Safari Button progress? It's the last step I would need to have all my extension needs met by Crossrider. For now I'm using crossrider for IE, Firefox, and Chrome, but have to support a seperate Safari extension because it requires a button. Thank you for any updates.
-
-
My Mental Space,
This is still on our roadmap obviously but due to demands from developers on other aspects we have not yet implemented it.
I will update this thread once we do, but it is not something that going to be ready in the short run. -
-
I am having great luck with Crossrider all around -- I wish there were support for Browser Button for Safari -- we'd be using it if so. Thank you.
