I’m frustrated

Nothing happening in firefox or chrome - works in debug mode, can't find any issues.

Tried to install on firefox. No errors, not working. Works in debug mode. Any ideas? I grepped and found that you're storing the code as a user pref... this seems a little insane, especially since the code is now 200k (which is not unreasonable when you have external libraries and a decent code base).

Tried to install in Chrome. Works in debug mode just fine. I found the extension.js file. diff'd it against the one I use in debug mode. Same thing (except a line ending at the end, but I replaced and checked, no difference).

When visit a page in Chrome, I get this:
Syntax error unexpected '.'

If I switch back to debug mode, works like a charm. Please, please tell me what is going on here?

How do I debug / fix this problem? It's making me really sad. I almost got this thing working, I'm supposed to demo it at 12:00 tomorrow and would love to tell people it's ready to be considered as a deployable tool. Promise to do a case study if you can fix this.

Thanks!
Jacob

    I’m confident
    Hey Jacob,

Sorry for the late response and I hope its still relevant for you.

Going over your experience, obviously this is not the way it should work.
In debug mode you get a report of the error and where it is originating from while
on production mode, of course, there will be no errors so the user experience will not be harmed.

We are planing to introduce later on "Errors Dashboard" so you will see an overall report of errors that are happening to your end users - as they use your extension.

It's really hard for me to know what could be the exact issue you are experiencing here.
The best thing to do, if you yet to haven't found the issue yourself,
is email me your code and I will debug this locally on my machine.

email: support@crossrider.com or directly me: shmueli@crossrider.com

And I will do my best to assist you.
