1Yes!
Right now we have Safari support in place and you can port your Crossrider App into a working Safari extension.
As the Safari Dashboard UI in on the site itself yet, please contact support@crossrider.com and I will explain you the exact process. -

Opera Support is in our roadmap but as it has a very low demand both from developers and end-users it's not currently a top priority task.

Can you show me where do you get this statistics from?
In general Opera *desktop* browser market share is 1.6%
from: http://www.cygy.com/tech/2012/04/marc...
You might be referring to mobile market share where indeed Opera is playing a bigger role than it does in desktop browsers. -

also Opera's extension API is (I believe) very, very similar to Chrome's.

Nikolay.
With Opera's strategic move towards Chromium, Crossrider supporting Opera is closer than ever:
http://techcrunch.com/2013/07/02/oper...
As we will need to wait for Opera to fully support Chrome extensions API which is a bit lacking at the moment, and as Opera still being very low on market share on Desktop Computers this is not a top priority at the moment.
Having said that we will push this forward as the technical gap has been decreased dramatically by their move. -

Hello Aleksey,
Thank you for your comment. It has been forwarded to the product team for their consideration. -

Hello Michal,
Currently, there are no plans to support Opera soon but the product team have it as an item in their pipeline. -
-
But what are you waiting for? Why can't you support Opera now? What Opera doesn't support that you need?

1Hello Klenium,
Thank you for you feedback.
As you may appreciate, supporting another browser requires a significant initial effort to build the API and framework to support it and then there's the ongoing commitment to maintain it. It's not simply of matter of deciding to support Opera now. Of course we'd love to, but as with any company there is a list of priorities and a finite number of resources. The product have it as an item in their pipeline to review when it becomes a feasible consideration. -

Thank you Shlomo. I can understand it. But as I know Opera is based on Chromium, so Opera is similar to Chrome which you already support. I was just wondering what API/features Opera doesn't have yet that you need.

1Hello Klenium,
My pleasure. It isn't so much what Opera doesn't have. It's more that everything that the current Crossrider API and framework does have for Chrome has to be checked and modified where necessary to make it work with Opera. That's a significant initial effort :-) -

I just would like to make it know that I came to the site looking for Opera support.
-
Ananize, we will do our best to have this ready, but as mentioned before we have prior tasks we need to finish in our roadmap.

Came here looking for opera but I'd rather convince users of my extension to use a different browser than convince you guys to spend time supporting Opera. I'd rather put that time toward new features in the big 4 already handled.

Your feedback is appreciated.
