Why don't you create a way to directly publish extension on official repositories using our developer credential?
or maybe a way to download a version that respect the standard of the 2 repositories to easily publish the extension and reach more users...

We are currently working with both Google and Mozilla on this exact feature.
There might be some technical limitations (providing credentials, etc.) so in that case you will be able to download special version that you can manually upload to each of the directories. It's going to be cool ;-) -
