It seems that crossrider extensions only run in the top-level frame of a page. How do we enable all_frames? For Chrome this is done by adding "all_frames": true to a "content_scripts" object.
Nice work though and I look forward to using this!

At the moment we support only top level documents.
Iframes support is in our pipeline and hopefully we will get to it soon :)

Hi Felix,
As other things came in and the more input we've got from our community, we've realized that running the code in iframes is important but not the top priority at the moment.
If you believe we should make it higher in our priority list then please contact us at support [at] crossrider [dot] com and/or via Skype (my personal skype is kobymenachemi). I would love to get your feedback on this.
Best,

Koby,
I have a specific use case where my app would require code to be run inside frames. Not iframes, but frames. This app will do DOM manipulation of a specific site, but this site uses frames and the content I need to access is inside a frame. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? -

I have figured out a specific solution to my problem (include "all_frames" in manifest.json for chrome), but clearly this will not work if I provide this app for others. For now, I am testing this app with just myself so it is not a big problem.

Is there any update on this issue? I'd also like to have my extension running in iframes.
I know that for the time being I can edit the manifest to include all_frames for the Chrome version. Is there any similar way to alter the Firefox version? -

We have BIG release by the end of March (given reasonable delay :) and iframe support is scheduled for this release.
We might roll out support for this on some of the browsers before then (Firefox iframe support specifically should be ready by mid next week) but we prefer to launch it all together.

Hi Koby,
I have recently come across Crossrider and have been thoroughly impressed however I have a need for iframe support.
Is the March release likely to arrive soon? and if/when it does will it still include some iframe support?
Thanks in advance.

Hey Dave,
The iframe support is already done but we didn't add it yet to the UI on the site yet (UI = where you can configure if you want your app to run in iframes or not).
Please email to support@crossrider.com with your app id and we will enable it manually for you. (the UI on the site will be by the end of April, then you will don't need for enabling it manually :)
