Safari 7 does not always inject extension.js on new tab create

Are you opening them in rapid succession? Does it work consistently if you leave a short delay between opening tabs?

Not really... We are opening tabs normally... and wait for some time before opening new one...

2. The file/line number where the inject code snippet can be found


3. Which browser and operating system you are testing on, including version numbers


4. The exact steps for reproducing the problem


5. Any additional useful data, such as URLs, screenshots, videos, ...

1. Extension id: 40882

2. This is sample extension made for this ticket with just one alert on document ready.

3. Safari: Version 7.0.5 (9537.77.4)
OS X: 10.9.4

4. Open new tab (CMD + T or "+" sign in tabs row) enter some valid url and open page. Wait for alert with current location. If there is no alert then I assume that extension.js is not inserted. Repeat this again...

Thanks for the additional information. The videos are helpful and I can see the issue.

I discussed the matter with the dev team and they are aware of the issue and are looking into it, but it's not an easy or quick resolution as it relates to the Safari extension mechanism. So it may be some time before a solution is provided.
