Therefore, please provide as much of the following information as possible and I will investigate:

1. The extension id


2. Which browser and operating system you are testing on, including version numbers


3. The exact steps for reproducing the problem


4. Any additional useful data, such as URLs, screenshots, videos, ...

I downloaded .exe file, when i am installing the .exe file then that error is producing.

I am using IE browser.

I have forwarded this to the AV team to investigate. They will probably get back to you early next week as we approach the weekend here.

We are having pretty close to the same issue with one of our clients. IE (obviously), with Symantec AV. The precise text in the error dialog is slightly different, but my guess is that's attributable to slightly different versions of Symantec AV. The gist of it ("Security risk: Adware.Crossrid") is the same.

Has there been any movement or workaround on this issue? Anything we can do differently? Would hosting the EXE on our own server (rather than using Crossrider's CDN) change anything?

Thank you for your enquiry. As per my response to your support ticket, sometimes hosting the installer on your own site can help to reduce AV false-positives.

I work with Bryan and here is more info on the issue we are facing.

OS:
Win7 (Enterprise)

Browser:
IE10 (10.0.9200.16844)

Software:
Symantec Endpoint Protection (12.1.4013.4013.105)

Our Extension ID:
26940
