When we upload an extension icon, can you please tell us all the different places where it will be used? (One, complete list). I'm having to piece together all the places based upon observation, and I think this it but please correct me if there is more:
- It is the default icon in the toolbar when the extension loads. We can change the icon at runtime, except in Safari in which case we're stuck with the default icon.
- It is the icon used when the customer reviews their installed extensions (in Windows, this is under Add/Remove programs)
- It is the icon used in the Windows installer's dialogs.
- It is the icon used in the Crossrider-provided extension installation web page.
- I am pretty sure it is NOT used in the Google Chrome web store, since in that environment, we're uploading a logo to Google (but correct me if I'm wrong).
- Special Safari consideration: All transparent pixels will be rendered as light gray, and all colored pixels will be rendered as dark gray.
Considering all of the above -- what EXACTLY are your guidelines for the size (dimensions) that this icon should have?
Thanks for your help here.

Hello Bryan,
Thank you for your query. Whilst I haven't seen such a list, I think your's is pretty accurate. I would adjust the first point to:
- It is the default icon in the toolbar when the extension loads. We must set the icon at runtime for correct button initialization for all browsers, except in Safari in which case we're stuck with the default icon.
Regarding the dimensions, we recommend using an extension icon with dimensions 128px*128px. -
