Why the bho.dll is soo big on internet explorer ?

Why the bho.dll are soo big ? normally the bho.dll is 5,7 kb our bho.dll is 784 kb is 156 times more big that the normal size ... why ?

    Thank you for your enquiry.

    In general, there is no specific standard for how big the bho.dll should be. It depends on what methods/services the BHO is providing.

    In our case, the BHO provides an entire platform and hence the extensive API you enjoy in your extension that enables it to function well with IE. The BHO has to be flexible enough to support a vast range of extensions (not just the specifics of any one extension) and unfortunately this comes at a cost, i.e. the size of the file.
