Sorry for the delayed response. I just saw the email where you sent us a file. I have since sent it to the developer for testing and analysis. I should have an answer soon.

OK, just got my response from the developer - he is just starting to test the file:

The Polar parser (translator) we have parses .hrm files, and uses .ppd files additionally if they are available (.hrm is mandatory, though). This was based on all the sample Polar files we needed to be able to parse being .hrm/ppd. According to Polar's documentation, the following Polar products use .hrm. All .hrm files (as far as I am aware) are parsable by our Polar parser:

    - Polar Sport Tester (PST)
    - Polar Vantage XL (VXL)
    - Polar Vantage NV (VNV)
    - Polar Accurex Plus (Acc+)
    - Polar XTrainer Plus (XTr+)
    - Polar Coach
    - Polar S610 / S610i / S625X
    - Polar S710 / S710i / S720i / S725 / S725X
    - Polar S810 / S810i
    - Polar E600
    - Polar AXN500, Polar AXN700
    - Polar RS400, Polar RS800, Polar RS800X
    - Polar CS400, Polar CS600, Polar CS600X

If there exist different Polar devices that we want to parse that do not use .hrm, I will try and obtain the needed documentation, to determine the scope of building parsers for them. If a client can convert files to .hrm, all should be fine.

Just heard back from my developer. Here is his response, and hopefully we will get word that he was successful by tomorrow:

I have looked at the file. At present, the Polar parser cannot handle it. The reason is that some sections which I assumed would always be present based on all prior files are absent in this one (the Polar documentation does not specifically state what sections may be absent under what circumstances). Also, some syntactical rules of Polar, as described in their documentation, are violated in this file.
It is unfortunate that this customer's converter does not produce Polar files fully correctly. I am working on changing the parser to accommodate the syntactical errors so that files like this one will work. I will get back to you when I have it done (hopefully by tomorrow).

We wrote a new translator for the watch that your rep sent us the file for - it now works - I assume that is what he sold you. If so, you should be able now to upload your data.

Let me know how it goes, thanks.
