would like to know if i just wasted the application of amaze plus #1 pouch.
i am needing to bring up my free clorine count.
it is very low.

Good day Frank.  Thanks for your question!

Your dose should be fine as long as you added it to the pool shortly after dissolving the Amaze Plus.  This is a quick dissolving product and does not need to be pre-dissolved and works in all water temperatures.  Other shocks, especially calcium based, are much slower dissolving, thus the requirement to pre-dissolve.

I want to be sure you understand the purpose for shocking though.  Shocking gets rid of non-filterable waste in the water.  It takes away the stuff that your filter can't remove.  If you have issues of low chlorine, it is most likely related to your chlorination method.  You need to either increase flow through the chlorinator/dispenser or use more chlorine.  With the summer we've been having, it is not unusual to see chlorine consumption increase.  The hotter it is and the more the pool gets used, the more chlorine is needed.  I would suggest increasing the amount of chlorine dissolved on a weekly basis and only use the Amaze Plus as a gentle boost (1-2ppm).

I hope this helps.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.
