slimy feeling walls

The hot tub walls are feeling slimy. The water is balanced, we do seem to have an issue with having high phosphate levels. Any thoughts on getting rid of slimy feeling on walls. Bromaine levels have been low the whole time except when start up it was 6 ppb

Hi John. Its not unusual to get a bit of slippery or slimy feel to the walls of the hot tub when bromine/chlorine levels have been on the low side. The best way to get rid of it and prevent it from coming back is to first wipe down the walls, seats and footwell of the hot tub so that the slimy feel is gone and ensure the proper level of sanitizer is maintained at 3-5ppm.

The slimy feeling is most commonly unoxidized matter that has accumulated in the water. It has a tendency to cling to the walls of the hot tub.

Some other options for preventing this are to use Dazzle Botanical Cleanse weekly. This is an all-natural enzyme product that is added weekly to digest organic wastes in water. Alternatively, you can consider using our Mineraluxe Hot Tub care system. This is a system comprised primarily of minerals that work to make hot tub care easier and protects surfaces from organic waste build ups.

Your closest Dazzle retailer can give you more information on both of these options.

    I hope this helps!
